The original leg length discrepancy classification listed mild (0-30mm), medium (30-60mm), and severe (60mm+). However, more recently, many have been listing mild LLD as 0-20mm.

I'm going to go ahead and say (with my 19mm LLD) that anyone with a 15mm or more LLD will greatly benefit from shoe lifts (I'd say anyone 7mm and up).

Therefore, this tool is based on the need for shoe lifts through experience, rather than any agreed upon classification levels.
